Tyne and Wear Development Company has been supporting companies through all aspects of expansion and relocation for over twenty years. On a free and confidential basis, we provide a dedicated service and can advise Government departments and public sector organisations on all matters relating to potential relocation. This support includes:
- Availability of office and development sites: We will undertake a property search and provide details of premises or land matching your specification.
- Recruitment and training: We will advise you on labour availability and recruitment, skills levels, salary levels, training provision and financial support for training.
- Supporting information on Tyne and Wear: We will provide a wide range of information on all aspects of Tyne and Wear of interest to a potential investor including business sectors, demographics, quality of life, housing and schools.
Tyne and Wear Development Company acts on behalf of the five local authorities of Tyne and Wear – Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, South Tyneside and Sunderland.
We have direct links with the local business community and organisations representing their interests such as the Chamber of Commerce, employers’ groups and professional bodies. We can facilitate introductions to appropriate businesses in the private sector such as accountants, property agents, and recruitment agencies.
Tyne and Wear Development Company also has strong working partnerships with various business support, economic development and government agencies in Tyne and Wear. These partner organisations include the Learning and Skills Council, Business Link, regional development agency One NorthEast and the Government Office for the North East.
